Re : Texas -- I lived in Houston TX for about five years. (I was born and raised in New York State).

My all-time favorite "line" about this whole Texas people stuff was something like this :

(A non-Texas person asking his Texan friend) :

"When are you Texas people ever going to calm down and just forget about being Texans, and become normal people ?"
