I fly a flag outside my home only on special days, like the 4th of July and Labor Day. Otherwise, such displays of patriotism become hackneyed and false, like your posts.

Major Moron is a hypocrite because he criticizes the Democratic welfare society when, in fact, he is a form of welfare himself: He's too "good" to go out and get a job, to disengage himself from the government spigot, but yet he criticizes those of us in the working class. The major is an elitist because he has nothing in common with the common working man and woman. He thinks he's too good to work up a sweat. Either that or his strident personality and gay-bashing would prevent him from getting a job in the real world.

I could see Major Moron working for a female boss. That would be first-rate comedy.

For those who are thrilled with the conduct of Federal prosecutors in the Lee case, just wait until this bipartisan (I'm ashamed to say ) assault on freedom becomes law. This will give the Feds the option to get involved in virtually every crime committed in the USA.

BTW. This is why I'm not a card carrying Republican, and don't give money to the party - just worthy individual candidates.

Kennedy's measure would expand a 1968 federal law that defines hate crimes as assaults motivated by the victim's race, color, religion or national origin as the victim attempts to exercise certain specified federally protected activities -- including voting or attending school. The amendment adds to these protected characteristics the victims' actual or perceived gender, sexual orientation or disability. It also would give federal prosecutors the option of pursuing a hate-crime case if local authorities refused to press charges.
