I was away for awhile and missed the drop to 17.25. Too bad, since I would have liked to pick up more around that price. The stock has bounced back smartly from there.

Looks like it may have bottomed. Congratulations to the adventurous bottom-fishers!

Rob, that is interesting. Kopp is a big fan of the old DMIC. Take a look at the performance of his fund over the last year. the symbol is koppx. tp

I just got off the phone with Dan Spaulding
of STXN's investor relations department.

The only interesting tidbit of news I was able
to glean from Dan was that, according to one of
the market makers, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter
sold a lot of shares yesterday. Should we be
surprised that MSDW also just initiated coverage
with an "outperform" rating on 9/13/00...

Well, it was an interesting day... in the end
we closed at $19+7/8... down only 1/64 from
yesterday's close. The recovery began shortly
before 3:00 PM on heavy volume and, although
the volume trailed off, the price continued
to recover pretty steadily until the close.

Ever the optimist, I view this positively.
I think it shows that the seller(s) finally
had gone away by 3:00 PM and I hope it means
that they're finished selling.

But Briefing.Com thinks the market as a whole may
see some additional selling pressure next week:

Dow and the Nasdaq were able to temporarily work off the late
afternoon low but the recovery was far from convincing with
both beginning to weaken once again... There is no incentive
for market participants to begin to bargain hunt in front of

sessions... Technically the market is oversold but given the
extent of the negative momentum, follow through selling would
seen likely early next week. DJTA -29.19... DJUA +4.77...
