I assure you Charles, volume was very good relative to the last two weeks and was widespread. I am not trying to make a case here, just reporting the numbers.

(perhaps you can ask TC2000 to show you which stocks on the NASDAQ had volume above various volume moving averages.)

There were a few exceptions, like YHOO, but there that is to be expected. Recall that YHOO had huge volume recently when it fell apart.

For the NDX, leaving out the five volume leaders CSCO, INTC, ORCL, MSFT, and DELL, we still had above average volume on roughly 25 of the next biggest 35 issues.

The down volume today was particularly outstanding, the largest since the two big down days of July 27/28.

I do not know where we go from here, but we have a better chance of knowing if we get the numbers right.
