Hello Don -- I have become disenchanted with the information available on BB's -- and stopped posting when I felt the investment of time wasn't really paying off. Thanks for the compliment of remembering my name. In answer to your question, I have not sold any SGI stock at all.

Why am I still holding? I still believe that the greatest promise of the computer era lies in high-bandwidth computers that offer the potential for manipulation of huge data sets and visual information. SGI stumbled because they lost focus. Bishop is one of the original visionaries who has recently done a lot to redefine the company, and it might be time to start posting good things about SGI again.

But I have to admit -- SGI has never lived up to expectations, and maybe never will. Now SUN has bought Cobalt -- sounds like a serious body blow to SGI's Linux plans.

My big worry however is that an energy crisis is around the corner that will cause a stock panic of historic proportions. I hate to recommend stocks at all with that looming ahead. --JD
