They would only shut down .25u to make way for .18u. That situation hasn't happened "in a period when the rate of increase in PCs shipped was lower than the historical norm" so your statement makes no sense. I'd like to know where you're getting this information from because as far as I know, no flash is produced in Israel. Intel's flash fabs are: Fab5 Oregon Fab7 New Mexico Fab9 New Mexico Fab11 New Mexico (limited flash?) D2 Santa Clara If anyone knows of others, please post. EP
