My only question is this: Is the 2nd Industrial Revolution supposed to stop because this fellow draws some squiggly lines on a graph? Autumn tech sell off is normal in my mind, its almost an act of Nature similar to the falling of leaves in the Autumn. Also, I dont care what you and Dave say, I aint giving up my SUV's!! (gg) JDN

Interesting, but my take is:

-- oil prices in inflation-adjusted dollars are still quite low

-- linear charts are pretty useless, especially for the long term; have you looked at the "Black Monday Trendline" on semi-log?
