Your story reminded me of a friend who financed his law firms bonus program for a few years. His family owned three farms and consisted of three children. On his father's death, each child felt entitled to TWO farms. The fight began. When the dust (paper) settled, one son filed bankruptcy, the other was left penniless, and the third was left so poor his brothers seemed prosperous by comparison.

All through the 'dispute', the Lawyers advised them that with three siblings three farms could be divided fairly and with little difficulty: None of the brothers would listen.

Interestingly, all three blame their Lawyers. Even today, each believe that had they retained better Lawyers, they would now own two farms.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. As for Lawyer hunting --- Should the number of dogs used be limited? And if a dog bites a Lawyer how does the dog get the taste out of his mouth?
