Note to all: Be sure to read what I SAY and not what you THINK I say! It wastes valuable time for me to have to explain in further detail what I've already used too many words to explain in the first place.

I have never said that a 5-year, 10-year or 20-year plan of holding stocks will not work. All of us should have a long-term portfolio with a combination of bonds, and stocks. . .divided between growth, value and foreign stocks and funds according to your needs. . .large caps, mid-caps, small caps, and other investment vehicles like foreign currency, metals and cash. This should be take up the lions share of your entire portfolio. Unless you are Generation Y or younger. . . .your trading portfolio should only be a small fraction of your long-term port.

This has NEVER been an issue. I am not CHANGING my stance on long-term investing. Do not MISUNDERSTAND. It takes up too much of our time when I have to repeat myself.

The only thing that even comes close to controversial, is when I say that the Manipulators which are forcing this volatility on us. . .are making the "buy & hold" strategy no longer work. Anyone who invested heavily on January 3rd can testify to that. We must take a more ACTIVE role in our investments. . .earmarking them as either Ultra long-term [5+ years] or position trades of relatively low time periods [less than about 4 months]. Anything between about 4 month and say 1 years has shown to be quite tricky to walk away a winner. . . especially on buys starting in 2000. . . and yet this is the time period most people have for their buy & holds. And it is only my observation that there is extreme opposition in this mid-term area.

And while I am in a negative tone. . . .we've had a significant number of complaints against posts like: "Bought WXYZ @45 1.2". 200 posts per day is too much for anyone to read. Please keep posts to market or stock comments. . . not posts of your trades. . . we'll save that for chatrooms. Thanks much.

Thanks all,

Rande Is
