That's exactly what I was afraid it was doing <gg>

On the creating a batch file (ie getting commands into), no - I figured out what it meant after the fact (from reading Fred Langa), but executed the commands one at a time. So, if you have a moment to give instructions. I mean I suppose I should make a custom batch file. Maybe that's no more than file-new; name it (but maybe you have to give it a DOS-comprehensible name?) & type the command lines exactly as previously entered. Then save it to what?

Then, open in DOS & after the C prompt, type the file name & enter? Am very skittish on DOS, because i really think i just might erase my hard-drive by accident! Thank you
