In the short term, NEC's customers are likely to sidestep DDR SDRAM royalties, largely because the next-generation chips aren't expected to enter volume production until the beginning of 2001. Sorry Jack, DDR is no where in sight for what could legitimately be called volume production.

Don, this article confirms what I suspected last week, namely that the license that NEC signed will be irrelevant come 1 Jan. If any of the RMBS bulls that disagreed with me would like to continue to disagree, I would ask you to refute the information in the referenced article, rather than make a blanket statement with no justification.
