You have bee taught lies.! the transistor was invented by Bell Labs

Be careful what you call a transistor. Some say SCR are transistors. What Bell labs created was a "point contact diode". The gain that can be achieved from transistors dates back to Einsteins photoelectric effect.

Anyways, it's not the people that invent that get credit, but those that publish FIRST.
