We are certainly set up for it....more so like the 70's.

Wall Street looks at things on a broader scale. While we we argue about P4s, Athlons, 1.13Ghz P-IIIs, WS wonders if anyone will be able to afford a computer...

You have to pay for the stability of society and
balanced economics growth. The fact is that the
US system is currently in the good balance. To sustain
the political success, Dems need just to monitor the
economics and make only slight adjustments, and
everybody will be fine. In contrast, for Reps to win,
they need to promise something radically different,
and, if win, have to follow their promises. This may
lead the system to go out of balance and collapse.
I don't like this perspective, and therefore prefer
Gore.
