Bob, I love your gold "suck" index, LOL. IMO gold investing won't do much until someone discovers a significant new industrial use. Do you know if the gold industry funds research for new gold applications? I remember a few years ago, some proposed gold plating in heat exchangers because of enhanced dropwise condensation (a heat transfer advantage), but gold cost vs. energy saved was uneconomic. Maybe higher energy costs will give that application some life?
