Zeev,

it will be quite a unique precedent when it come to court if a companies whose antecedents (NEC and Hitachi) try to claim their antecedents were wrong in recognizing the validity of Rambus' patents

At the time of the agreement, Hitachi was quite explicit in saying that they do not recognize Rambus patents.

I also think that MU and Hyundai are playing Russian roulette with their respective corporate lives.

I agree but why?

The only thing I can think of is that they think they can cut a better deal by litigiously negotiating with Rambus.

If I were a stockholder of Hyundai or Micron or Infineon, I'm not sure I'd like my company to be playing that kind of Russian roulette (pardon to all the Russians that may be lurking) as it would seem to me that most of the cylinders are loaded.

What do you think?
