God did not create us as robots - he created us in His class. Therefore we have a choice in the matter - in who we will follow. He's will is for all of us to be saved..but not all of us, by our own will, will be saved.

God has done all He will ever do.

the rest is up to us.

We are by nature "children of wrath" and "dead in our trespasses and sins" without the ability or inclination to reach up to God. We are all like Lazarus, dead until we hear those words of our savior, "come forth". Even the faith that from our perspective we must exercise is a gift from him.

ABSOLUTELY, I couldn't agree with you more! When we really come in contact with God we find that even our so called repentences need to be repented of!

Chris

†..It truly is God's will that all men be saved..†

2 Peter 3
8: But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand
years as one day.
9: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not
willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Also 1 Timothy 2

1: I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2: For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3: For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4: Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5: For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6: Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

The word of God is filled with examples of people who walked contrary to the will of God ...Indeed to this very day even Christians. As CiV said...God did not create robots!!
And all praise and glory be unto Him!!†

Nice to see you around theses parts Greg.

Have a blessed day
Shalom...><>
