For instance the Hitachi SH MCUs I know find themselves in all sort of things, like VCRs, TVs, game consoles, etc..

The SH family are microprocessors, not a microcontrollers.

Do you really think that Hitachi agreed to pay Rambus 5% royalties on SH microprocessors?

I gave you some PC DRAM controller numbers to digest. You answered with some vague comments about markets outside the PC. The implication being, I guess, that they would generate license revenues far exceeding the PC segment. Maybe you can quantify the other markets. Here's a clue. In order to generate $650 million in license revenues, they'd have to average 0.33% royalty on total global semiconductor revenues this year.
