PFN recently began a fall exploration program on the Agnew property, located 60 kilometres west of Sudbury, consisting of prospecting and mapping, and surface induced polarization (I.P.) surveys. The surface sampling program is aimed at confirming the presence of sulphide associated PGM mineralization within the contact environment of the intrusion. To date, surface grab samples have assayed up to 2.84 grams per tonne (g/t) Pt+Pd+Au from the A zone, 3.06 g/t Pt+Pd+Au from the B zone, 5.61 g/t from the B2 zone and 2.39 g/t Pt+Pd+Au from the C zone. Together, these zones cover approximately seven kilometres of the favourable intrusive contact, which extends for a distance of at least 13 kilometres. The Agnew property is under option from New Millennium Metals Corp. Inc. PFN will soon begin detailed sampling on its Lac Panache property, located 40 kilometres southwest of Sudbury. The property overlies a large Nipissing Diabase sill (Bassoon Lake intrusion) that is host to recently discovered sulphide-associated PGM mineralization which assays up to 1.7 g/t Pt+Pd+Au. During July and August, PFN completed surface mapping and sampling, a surface I.P. survey and stripping in the area of the main sulphide showing. Exploration targets PFN's Sudbury properties consists of two main target types: gabbro intrusions in the form of sills, dikes and cone sheets that are referred to as Nipissing diabase (Lac Panache, Janes and Kelly) and large layered intrusions that include the River Valley and Agnew (Shakespeare-Dunlop) intrusions. Nipissing diabase (gabbro) targets are potential small tonnage (less then three million tonnes), high grade (more than three g/t PGM, 1.5 per cent Cu+Ni) deposits amenable to open pit mining methods. The River Valley and Agnew Intrusions are potential large tonnage (more than 20 million tonnes, one to three g/t PGM, 0.2 per cent Cu+Ni) deposits, amenable to open pit mining. PFN is actively pursuing additional platinum group minerals exploration opportunities in Canada and abroad. WARNING: The company relies on litigation protection for "forward-looking" statements.
