Chuck, Re: 1 GHz PIII availability is highly restricted even 6 months after launch.

I just checked Pricewatch: After a decrease in vendors last week the number of vendors selling them nearly doubled this week. Currently there are 25 vendors selling 1 GHz P3s (three pages). Looks like that six months after its introduction volume shipments are finally appearing. But maybe Intel is preferring its US customers: As Peter pointed out here in Germany you still can't buy them while plenty of 1.1 GHz Thunderbirds are available.

Re: "None of them barring Dell gets them in the quantities asked for - even NOW. A month back even Dell shipments got pushed out.
Face it! 1 GHz PIII availability is highly restricted even 6 months after launch"

Hey - Intel has been capacity constrained for over a year now - be smart - Buy some Intel.

Oh....I forgot - you used to own Intel - then you sold it - then Intel DOUBLED !
