IMHO, Armstrong already has his man picked out

Getting rid of Bell was good.

Doing it with the classic ATHM style of announcing plans instead of announcing results is NOT good.

Now the company is being run by a lame duck. Nobody knows who will be in charge. More uncertainty. These guys just dont get it.

I hope they get this "search" over quickly.

Eric

Franz, you are solid!

Big meetings and rolling heads, with smiles and sunshine blowing up everyones arses means backroom politics have already worked out the details, or placed the bets to force hands as you suggested to Eric. Great intuit of what may be transpiring.

Between Malone and Armstrong they are/will be kicking some serious a** to make it so.

This fits too well to be by chance and because of family thing too, loyalties over ATHM responsibilities. Hey, didn't Bell just say he thrives on competition? Well, he just got knocked off the court. Even TJ was given that token onlooker overseeing title thingie position. Fancy for out to pasture instead of the glue factory.

Kudos to Ah, not to kiss a, but where credit is due, once again for calling the shots on all this when it was not the most obvious nor popular call.

I am very optimistic. Cox also announced today that they are doing very, very well with growth of their BB, dsl is not much competition, even where strong in their area as they had first mover advantage in that region.

Lots of 'surprise' announcements await us over the coming weeks. I anticipate that with these developements the surprise disappointments and poorly timed macho statements are OVER, once and for all.
