You gotta like Corel as an acquisition candidate here, especially after Sun's announced $2B axquisition of Cobalt today. The Netwinder is right there in that same space (non-PC thin server) and it's a pretty good bet that Sun will be raising awareness and sales (massively) of these things. I'm actually surprized CORL didn't bump up a little today on that news. --- I disagree with you about StarOffice. What are you comparing it to on your Solaris machine? --- The main thing behind StarOffice is the portal product. Sun acquired this company (StarDivision), BTW. The HotJava guys didn't do it (I'm *still* waiting for HotJava to load<g>). --- Anyway, Corel to my mind has assets that add up to far more than it's current valuation to the right HW giant. (IMO) I wouldn't be surprised to see the fishing float make ripples in the next couple weeks. -JCJ
