Sylvester,

Whatever dramreview says about performance is irrelevant.

DRDRAM will never get ramped, so what's the point?

You should be focusing on the DDR and SDRAM lawsuits, that's all Rambus has left if it has any hope to maintain this gigantic market cap.

Micron Pulls DDR from Crucial Website

I swear that just a couple of days ago, you could look at DDR modules for sale on the Crucial Website. It was even advertised with this announcement, and they had prices up (but you could only buy it if you were a system developer, I recall).

Now, it's nowhere to be found. Maybe they pull it to work on the stability issues that Dean Kent at RealWorldTech talked about.

realworldtech.com

"One of the most troubling reports, which was provided by an anonymous member of Team-DDR, is that Micron is seeing incompatibilities between modules and chipsets. Currently, though Micron lists DDR modules as being available through Crucial Technology, there are a very limited number of them, and all are 64MB parts. Further, none of these modules will function on all DDR capable chipsets. As of last week, it did not appear that the problem had been identified yet."

Sylvester,

I have explained the problems with DRDRAM "theory" on numerous occasions. There is no longer any need to do that, as ample empirical data is available showing that DRDRAM performance is substandard.
