Richard, agree the SEC looking to control info... I think the only way to control stock info is to remove the message boards, chat rooms etc. We know that will never happen. There will always be some underground medium that people will use for exchange of info.

Its also funny that an internet poster can sell part or all of his/her position while talking about the stock and this is deemed illegal; While in the meantime, the big brokerages do that everyday. They pull the biggest pump and dump scams there are...

Here is what these ratings mean:

BUY: Means we have accumulated our position and are now in a profit and we want the masses to come in and buy while we gradually come out of the position.

STRONG BUY: We have our position and a nice profit and are ready for the masses to come in and buy the stock from us at greatly inflated prices.

HOLD: We have no position in the stock.

SELL: We are out of the stock and are looking to accumulate now.

STRONG SELL: We really like this one and need shares in a hurry.

Also noticed that "sell" ratings are issued after the stock has tanked or is well on its way to a 52 week low.

Buy ratings occur when a stock is well on its way to a 52 week high and has already advanced a great percentage.

We know the root of the problem is the posting of "false and misleading information". This false and misleading info is used by P & Ds to inflate the stock price so the criminals can unload stock into the buying.

I think that for the most part this thread and all of the regulars here are good at posting just the info and just rumors (and making it clear that it is just a rumor) if there are any. I don't know of any of us that put out price targets and if we do it is based on technical analysis (like I do) and is a reasonable target. This thread is not filled with the hype and garbage commonly seen on RB and many of the SI threads.

MY OPINION. :)
