JGoren, I feel your pain (or actually I just understand it). I am not a Sprint customer, however I do not know if ANY provider will be much better at customer service.

AT&T will over charge you every month from what I hear. This bad service is "business as usual" for the phone company, and the cable company, and your health insurance, etc., etc.

By the way, I see you live in Dallas. I am in Coppell. Hope we get some rain SOON!

Scot

Ok, I'll add my Sprint experiences: I've been a customer for about 4 years and have had just about every kind of encounter with Sprint customer disservice. It's become kind of a joke for my family. We try to avoid all contact. I used to have this great plan on one of our phones that just magically went away one day a few months ago. I had this plan for close to 3 years. Customer disservice claims it never existed. They put me on a $0.99/min plan. What? You never heard of such a plan? Well, Sprint has it. I think that's the one they reserve for their best long term customers. Anyway, 8 phone calls and 2 store visits were all that was needed to clear up the mess.

I just can't wait for Sprint 3G service. The phones become computers and everyone they fry will cost them $500 or maybe $799. Customers calling them even more often with much more complex questions. Should be fun :) I think I'll stick around with at least one of our phones on Sprint just to see how their customer disservice matures.

On the brighter side, I bought a new Samsung 8500 this week. The phone is great, lots of cool features and better signal strength than my Thinphone. I would highly recommend it.
