Not even that is correct. Most preemies do not require heroic life support, but thrive in an incubator from about 6 months on.......

DK. There were many babies born at five months and survived
long before any of the new fangled equipment was invented in this country, and this is very likely true in a lot of third world nations where they have their babies in the field and go back to work;-)

My dad had some pretty heroic measures taken when he had his aneurism surgery done in '67. He enjoyed another 20 years, you probably think he should have been shot.
