Clappy, sorry for the delay, but had been off the internet. I wish I could give you specific places in the Adirondacks, but I would have to look at the map as we drove all over, stopping and staying where we willed, off and on the main road. We did stay by Schroon Lake as well as Lake Placid.We were actually gone 2 wks, driving through the Catskills, Adirondacks, Mohawk Valley, Niagara Falls, Toronto & Chicago before getting home. All we know is that we are definitely going back to your beautiful state, to spend more time there...We continuously thought we had seen the most beautiful site, only to come around a curve or over a hill and see more awesome beauty. Have a wonderful Fall outing...I am very happy for you and your family to be able to get "lost" in that natural beauty. Raven
