I think Bezos must be deep in denial. Everything has been so easy for him and AMZN, and it will be difficult for him to watch what he has built being destroyed, or at very least undergoing radical surgery. I sure you are right about the money, and I think the AMZN story will end when the money runs out, which will probably be less than a year from now. Perhaps you could forecast a date? Things are taking a negative turn, much has been invested in telcoms like ICG and it looks like some others will follow them into bankruptcy, with a tremendous amount of pain for the bondholders. I fear that even promising tech businesses may find it near impossible to raise the money they need, so the outlook for AMZN is bleak, unless they take radical steps to become profitable now!!
Goodnight!

Glenn: I have never heard McMamee's assessment of AMZN -- and I have not reason to believe he knows retail the way you do or AMZN the way you know AMZN. No offense to McNamee, but I think he would take a back seat to you on or off this thread on this topic. You have been very helpful in helping us to understand this company. Perhaps William is willing to take his orders from the "big names" -- but they are only as good their homework, and you are clearly top of the class on this subject IMO.
