I don't know how patronizing we can get, since I wasn't striving to be patronizing. Since Bush never "kowtowed" to anyone, much less racists, I do not find your analysis of the situation impressive. I agree that a commitment to minorities begins with policies. I think that the policies of the Democratic Party are mostly wrong.

As has already been pointed out, "women" do not especially vote Democratic: it is mostly single women, especially black single women, who do so. Thus, they were covered sufficiently in the cursory analysis. As for being 2/3rds of the electorate, since Clinton could not manage 50% of the electorate, your 66% is largely bogus.

As I said, one step at a time. Maybe decades, maybe not.......

Which convention had a black chairman? Which had the keynote speech by a black who is in line to be Secretary of State? Which convention featured a young black intellectual woman in line to be National Security advisor? Which has true leadership positions for minorities?

Dems may have more minority delegates, but the hoi polloi Democrat establishment knows how to hold them "in their place".

The Democratic convention had a quota system to ensure the right image was displayed on television for the viewers.

That should be an insult to any American and is about as patronizing as it gets? The Republican convention was far more honest. If you worked hard in the party and were elected by your peers, you could become a delegate. With the Democrats, it didn't matter how hard you worked for the party, as long as you were the right skin color, gender or ethic group. Or sexual orientation (homosexual) you were selected.

That's nothing more than racism and bigotry. Democrats see everyone as part of a sub-group of Americans, and want to divide the country. Republicans believe your skin color, ethnic background or gender doesn't matter. We're are all Americans, "it's the content of your character that counts".
