Price of 64Mb DRAM Chips Falls to US$6
September 22, 2000 (SEOUL) -- Gloomy days for Korea's chip players continued through Sept. 20, as prices of the benchmark 64Mb DRAM chip fell to US$6 per unit.



Market observers said the 64Mb SDRAM (PC100, 8b x 8) was trading at US$6.41-$6.79 on the spot market the same day, down 4.04 percent from the previous close.

However, other chip products, including the 64Mb SDRAM (PC133, 8b x 8) and 128M SDRAM (PC133, 16b x 8), were stable, maintaining prices of US$7.10-$7.52 and US$16.32-$17.30, respectively.
