<But where would they get all that Rambus? >

Word is that there is a decent chunk of oversupply in RDRAMs because people were expecting RDRAMs to take off because of hard P4 launch. Also, there seems to be some inventory overhang because of slow p3-RDRAM ramp. Samsung may just luck out big time if Intel drives p4 hard.

<Besides, it would kill the rest of their product line. >

What is the alternative, let it be killed by Athlon/AthlonPro?

<Intel is just plain screwed. >

Has been that way for while, isn't it.

Eric,

Intel is just plain screwed.

LMAO! It's really getting hard to avoid coming to that conclusion. Their TTM (time-to-market) early release of Foster will certainly be error prone and further open the door for Athlon Ultra in the server space. I wish I had some buying power to buy some more AMD.

I'm tempted to sell my shares and buy calls to leverage my position, but there is still a risk that whatever they are changing to reduce Mustang power, may result in yield or speed problems, so I will just hold my shares (even though I'm pissed at IR).

Pravin.
