The newspaper I'm looking at right now (today's paper) reports the following:

"The American Research Group took polls in all 50 states between Sept. 8 and 19, with researchers concluding Gore has made the race competitive or has gained an edge over Bush in many battleground states that could decide the election.

"The polls back up earlier polls in many of the battleground states showing a far more competitive landscape than before the Democratic Convention.

The polls of 600 likely voters in each state had error margins of 4 percentage points."

To reiterate: Gore 45, Bush 39 in Kentucky, according to the American Research Group of Manchester, N.H.
