Carl,

Re: Longs reaction to DDR.

You cheated -- this was exactly the same scenarios that the anti-Rambus crowd went through before RDRAM shipped (remember "it won't work in socketed configurations"?). <G>

Add one more to the DDR list. After DDR systems start shipping, we'll claim that they won't be stable and there will be incompatibility problems.

Dave

p.s. "in the fullness of time"? English, please <G>

Bilow,
That's fine. But we've had links now to vapor and paper releases for more than 9 months now. Don't you think it's about time that with all these links that you are so proud off that you will also post 1, just one, just a single one, with a link to where we and any John Doe can actually buy even one, just 1, a single one of all those mobos and memory. It seems logical to me. It's not to you? ;-) ;-)

Only one. That's all I'm asking. I can't believe you don't even have one, just one. You got to have at least one. I mean, everyone has at least one..... ;-) ;-) ;-)

Bilow,
There was a time when the Rambus longs suggested that the absence of motherboards from any company other than Micron was an indication that DDR was dead, and no such boards would ever exist. This prediction turned out to be wrong.

Come on.... I don't know of anyone who would suggest that cause anyone can produce a mobo. Anyone! But going from a picture or a prototype of a mobo to an actual production real thing, it's a totally different ball game. You should know that (I'm sure you do know that). So a presence of mobos means nothing to me. Hell, VIA and ALi even had mock up mobos back in June/July during the Computer Expo where instead of actually having real systems, they only had real T-Shirts. Do you remember that? It seems it was easier for them to produce real T-Shirts than it was to produce "real production" DDR mobos. I wonder why?

So don't tell me that having mobos means anything. It means nothing. So... we are back to that one, just one, a single one, little old link where any John Doe could buy these mobos and memory. I mean, you have got to have, after telling us about all these mobos, you got to be able to find at least one, just one small little link out of so many, where any John Doe can buy these mobos and memory. You have got to have at least one little old link somewhere. You just got to. Why is that so difficult? Why? After all, you have no problems with all the other links... ;-) ;-) ;-)

After all, I know you don't want anyone to tell you that you are only just full of s... I wouldn't allow that! You are much better than that. I know you can do better. So all I need is one, just one, just a single little old link, and you are off the hook. It can't be that hard... ;-) ;-) ;-)
