if i were a dentist,chiropractor, restauranteur, i would charge for no shows. boeing charges for cancellations. people make appointments with me and don't show up-they forget about it. Funny, once i have a retainer, i tend to hear from them-they see me and use up the retainer or call me and get it back. i thought andy grove was a better business man than me. perhaps intel should buy a few dell computers. they could check how many chips and from how many sources someone was ordering. airlines have penalties for cancelling many classes of tickets. motels and car rental companies don't let you cancel except with giving a certain amount of notice
