From his own web site, here's an account of how Al Gore contracted his anti-corporate populism. It's describes his previous experiences with the energy industry during his years in congress. He claims to have caught them with their hand in the cookie drawer at least twice during the oil and gas crises of the 1970's.

I thought you would appreciate some of his comments. BigBull should like the China comments, and Slider should appreciate his comments on inflation. He is actually very well thought of and puts out a quarterly report to his clients.

Interesting thought on inflation, but no mention on the price of gold.
