"I have no idea what USA Libertarian ideas are".........me either...except I think they want everyone to be able to buy street drugs at the supermarket and use them whenever they choose...everything else seems incidental to that basic concept......I remember the old TV commercials about brains on drugs frying like an egg in a hot pan....I think some brains have fried and see paranoic fantasies on other issues as well...but I believe the basic concept as stated above is where the true core values of the LP is.

USA Libertarians do not believe in taxes. But some do sanction going back to the excise taxes and tariffs only. However if you ever want to read a book that has a picture of a totally Libertarian philosophy read "Probability Broach" by L. Neil Smith.

On drugs: what people take into their bodies is their own business, not the governments. Therefore the FDA should NOT be allowed to stop people from taking drugs that they believe can help them and the government should NOT be telling people they can't get their happiness from mj, cocaine or anything else.
And the war on drugs has become a war on property, property rights and people's liberty.
