Hi Amy,

I suppose the point I wish to stress is that semiconductor downturns in the past occurred shortly after several semiconductor companies announced large expansions and the capacity was being built. I think senior managers have learnt from this (although slowly..I have been watching the cycle since 1978..it was old hat even then).

There is therefore no end of the "semiconductor cycle" going by that signal. Perhaps a gradual increase in demand and supply over time.

So, if my understanding is correct..and I have posted here to see if there is any truth in what I am thinking...all is in fact well with the semiconductor biz...and INTC.

I did also happen to notice INTC being bought up with great rapidity on Friday.

The penny (or should I say euro cent) has dropped here -g-

pearly.

<Did you know that Win 2000 is probably the most solid OS that Microsoft has ever released (yes, finally.) While MSFT is also in the dog house, the company has a reasonable line up of products beginning to work their way through the pipes.

According to Kumar, next year, so does Intel.>

Hi Amy,

If you are in INTC because of the future products, then get out quickly. I am not joking.

Kap

just quoting Kumar--it's his opinion the intel problem is global, and the problem is NOT intc specific--in the interview i saw,he stressed very strongly, this problem is NOT intel specific, and that it is a far reaching global problem.just passing on Kumar's view--i know zilch:) max

"...do you get in now, or do you wait and try to time it right?"

Best time to get in?
