Hey, EC Man...

Great to hear from you.

True. WAVX today is much further along toward its goal of ubiquity. And I still marvel at the timing of their additional financing way back at the first of the year. That deal has provided a much-needed cushion.

As to the matter of a little horse race that's shaping up for November, well, I've been surprised at the turn of events. We've still got the debates ahead of us... and that will be IMHO determinative. I was a little baffled when Bush decided so late in the game to get his campaign focused on issues. I guess his advisers thought that playing the "character" card was going to be enough. (And being a brilliant political strategist myself, I'm sure I would have been tempted in that direction, too. There is, after all, a lot of material to work with: "no controlling legal authority",Buddhist temple fundraising, etc.) Then, check the poll numbers, and, whoops, it wasn't enough.

Oh, well, it should be interesting. I had pretty much conceded the White House and Congress to the Republican side. Then, I was going to see if the presumed moderate and compassionate conservative could keep the Delays and the Armeys in check. I don't like Tom Delay or Dick Armey... and thought for certain they would lay "in the bushes". It will be interesting to see just how much of their usual ill spirits and acrimony will surface should Mr. Bush not triumph.

Best Regards, EC
