my investment idea for sept (and for the rest of the year) was that the mutual funds would bring down the stock prices and then push them up. i think the managers are under pressure to have good returns. this week fund managers better help their 3rd quarter returns (yearly returns) or some of them will be looking for a new job.
i think stock prices can be manipulated, mostly short term.

""the short side of over-extended stocks such as brcd, ntap, extr is the place to be. These stocks should fall a few weeks before earnings and then make a comeback just before earnings. I think they will top this week.""

brcd p/s >122,
ntap p/s >67,
extr p/s >44,

really don't think the nasdaq won't see broad tax selling this year. only some selected stocks.

we will know soon enough though.

The Nasdaq composite index is in a whipsaw bottoming pattern after a severe 35% correction earlier this year. TTD is picking up an increase in breakouts with medical stocks leading the way.

Interesting view of the market:

09-14 11:38AM (ET): "This year theme, for me, is a market in transition, between disinflation and inflation. To me, this market top is a giant rotating secular one, topping the entire advance since 1982. So, while people are still thinking about the disinflationary scenario, I'm thinking about the inflationary scenario, and markets are going to react differently. For the last 20 years, it has been a simple IF>THEN scenario with deflation and disinflation. Now, it's not so simple anymore, and those who are still locked into that mentality may find themselves making investments and then wondering why the accepted IF>THEN equations are not working out."
