Has the importance of character become the distinctive difference between the Democratic and Republican parties? I think that it is where each party wants to hang their hat, but I haven't seen any indication that either party has any. I believe that this molegate issue is important as it would indicate a lack of character to me. I do not believe that the ends justify the means. Therefore, even if Gore would be the greatest president the U.S. has ever seen, the fact (if true) that he is being deceptive in his campaign would cause me to automatically vote against him.
