Mang,

Originally, the Mot Palm-based phone was scheduled for release for the end of 2002. Now that date has been shifted to early 2002. This may push Nokia to release a product by the end of 2001.

Well, much of this future will rely on the success of the pDQ2. I surely hope that Kyocera and Palm do some real integration this time.

Also, Palm may have plans with WindRiver System for its RTOS in the Palm OS in some way. Already, we have licensed WRS' TCP/IP stack. Getting real-time is only half a step more.

Adverlorem, do you see Palm executing? Do you see how PDA is no longer the game for Palm? The games will be all about the Palm-OS platform, network, and service. Again, our dumping date of the hardware business may be sooner than two years.

Congradulations to all.

Khan

I liked this part of the story. "The phone will also be compatible with current wireless
networks as well as high-speed next-generation networks"
Sounds like an intergration of capabilities to work with all protocols ie CDMA,TDMA and GSM.
Bloomberg TV this am.Reported about DoCoMo and AOL as a part of the PALM/MOT news......
