NG,

If AMD meets its 3.6 million target for a phenomenal incremental increase of 1.8 million Athy units ...

I think the market will focus more on the total units sold. The 1.8M increase within the 3.6M goal includes many substitutions for market share already occupied by K6-x's, so AMD is just "eating" its own market share with much of that increase. The near 7M unit total is more important because:

1) it is about a 10% increase over Q2, and
2) it hopefully will be much greater than 17% of the total x86 market.

Top-line growth has become important in recent weeks. I think AMD needs to show at least 10% incremental revenue growth even though they have the loss of comm sales. This growth could be more important than the unit sales goals.

If they meet these goals, the shares should move up, but I'm not expecting instant riches. A trailing PE of 20-21 is all that I could expect in this situation for this stock.
