are you getting the netscape IPF's frequently?

there are a whole host of things you can try.

close your browser, then open the netscape user folder and delete netscape.hst

also, you can rebuild the netscape registry in an attempt to cut down on these IPF's. i'd conclude, based on frequency of occurrence, that my efforts were fairly successful. here are some instructions for doing this:

***************************
Rebuild the NetScape REGISTRY. Back up all USERS directories
(folders). Close NetScape. Rename NSREG.DAT to NSREG.BAK in
c:\windows, then restart NetScape. It will prompt for a new Profile.
Give it the exact name of your old Profile and it should recognize it.
Multiple Profiles can be restored the same way .Or create new Profiles.
****************************

if you intend to follow this course, let me emphasize the need to back up the nsreg.dat file first. i backed up the whole darn netscape user folder. then i backed up the nsreg.dat file.

and yes, it does regenerate itself. but you will be asked by netscape profile manager to provide a name for your new profile, and you should give it your old name. this is why i backed up the user folder, in case it all went to heck at this point.

good luck

:)
