Jim, Chisy, I don't know if you read Barron's, but I always look forward to Up and down Wall Street by Alen Abelson, he has a real gift for the absurd. Anyway, here is a short excerpt from this weeks issue, about the 15 year old stock meister.

"Instead, as the awestruck gang at the SEC reports, Little Jon energetically
helped his investments along by posting on Internet bulletin boards admiring
(and entirely fabricated) descriptions of their attributes, accompanied by
earnest exhortations to buy now before the stocks soared out of sight. In
other words, he adapted standard brokerage-house procedure
and put out
wildly bullish Buy recommendations, larded with fancy and void of fact.

What Little Jon seemingly wasn't aware of was that only Chartered Financial
Analysts
are legally entitled to engage in this practice. As a result, he earned
the distinction of being the youngest person ever charged in this great country
with securities fraud."

The whole story is a riot, but not far from the truth.

Jim, the SPX puts I got yesterday proved to be good insurance on todays little EK inspired rout. A 15 point SPX swing so far.
Also, I have noticed that whenever there is a morning dump, the number of posts on most of the threads on S/I seem to dry up. I guess most people have the mind-set that if it can't be traded long, it just isn't right to even talk about it. Maybe they still think we are in a bull market?
Keep an eye on Denmark, if they tell the Euro to take a hike on Thursday, we could see some fireworks in Euro land. Might even have an adverse reaction here. Ok, it certainly would.
So, check this story out>http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/nm/20000925/bs/economy_fed_dc_2.html
