Pearly:

As we've witnessed in the past 3 months, the market can be exceedingly irrational, by punishing AMD's record Q2 earnings with a 50% retracement...Clearly, AMD had run up amazingly from $17 in October to $97 at its peak in July, but so too, had other techs, many of which have also retraced significantly...What does differentiate AMD from most others is that the $97 could be justified by earnings performance, something the market has not yet come to grips with as evidenced by the 50% retracement...My suspicion is that should AMD deliver on Oct. 11 on its 3.6 million Q3 Athy target, maintain its 7.2 million target for Q4 and deliver a 4th successive quarter of record earnings in Q3, that the market will "group twig" to the notion that AMD does indeed justify some multiple of its current $26 bargain price and a prolonged rush to own AMD at higher levels will begin on Oct. 12, a prolonged rush that will carry AMD to $75 by year end...
