Civ, it is ever like two school children sitting in the sandbox claiming it as their own. The Christian/Hebrew belief that there is only their one true God and only their one true way , is so similar sometimes to the child crying that he not only owns the sandbox , but now the yard, garden, neighborhood....nay the whole town, so forth and so on. I haven't really that great a desire to "get one up on you" nor argue who owns the sand~box, or the neighborhood , and the whole town. I am glad for your beliefs, and know the power of personal faith . For you say that Christianity started long before Christ. Before the world was formed , and God had this plan of redemption at the dawn of Creation , is a very interesting idea . Yet a Hindu could counter you then by saying there were infinite creations.... thus edging you out by a couple of "Eternity's" and Creations or two.<ggg> For if God is all powerful , then why could he not Create more than one Universe? ;-) You say God has a "plan" , and Jesus was the fulfillment of that plan....the story of Jesus is certainly a compelling one, of one who taught Love in the face of redicule, betrayal and torture. There will be a sacred gathering in India this year to celebrate that same eternal kind of concept of redemption, purification, and praising God both as eternal being and as one who came and walked the earth. You see, they have also their own idea of the Incarnations of God taking the form of Man, as Pure and as Blessed Jesus, who came on Earth to teach perfection and love. 20 million people are expected to attend this celebration at the same time.... and there are 1 billion believers. The sense of the "Mystical" that Einstein so beautifully described, that deeply stirring felt emotion of awe and wonder at miraculous display of the workings in the mind & heart, towards life, the world and all that is spread before him both seen and unseen....is common to all peoples everywhere, every tribe , every soul. It should be a pleasure nowdays , for every tribe or group to show honor to the dignity of each others sacred beliefs, not cry that their's is the superior path....this will do much to end man's eternal suffering and divisions. ;-) Mars
