Ahh..Good post Marsh.

Nice to get a personal responce from you such as this one :)

I have a response to it - but I just got home from working out - so I may be a little while....

I'm sure by now you can tell that I am by no means your religious Christian. Religion has turned Christianity into a Dead ritualistic powerless one day a week hobby.

Most Christians do not know why they believe what they do - and why should they? over the years The teachings of Jesus and the New testement have been watered down to a mere "book on how to live" that should appear in the self-help section at Amazon.com.

The Bible is not a book on how to live...The Bible is God manifest on Paper for all to see and know. It is a book of who we are..we are made in His image and this book is Life, Power and it is all you ever need. the Word is the Light, life and the very being that cuts us down to the core of our spirits, and defines our legal rights to the Promises he has made, defines are legal righteousness, and it is the core of our inner most being.

I have more to say but I got to preachin there for a moment.

will be back later

mars, got in late on this one, but had to jot a quick reply. Christianity is not exclusive because of Christians (yelling in a sandbox), but because of Christ. It is his great offense. It is what He himself said about himself that got him crucified. John 14:6 quotes Jesus, "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me." Jesus is later described in the New Testament as both the cornerstone and the stumbling stone. . . exclusivity in his day or ours does not play well anywhere.
As Oxford professor C.S. Lewis has said, Jesus was either a Liar(ie. con man), a Lunatic (ie. delusional) or the Lord of all. You don't have the option to make Him out to be just a great teacher. Accept or reject him on his terms. Jesus would never have come and died if there were any other way to unite God and man.
If I were doing his(Jesus) PR, I would have advised him against the statement above . . . it's so limiting. Truth that demands faith transcends our modern sensibilities.
Best to all. .

Hi 2Mar$!

Jesus was not either a liar, lunatic, or Lord. But then, you already knew that...
