There are alway finer points that could be unearthed in Texas also. It has nothing to do with Democratic individuals or Republicans. The system has to ensure that the person about to be hanged is guilty beyond reason of doubt. Texas seems to be a gallow happy state compared to any other state and any single individual who was killed and later found to be innocent defeats the purpose of capital punishment. This is an extreme measure and should be reserved for extreme cases only.
