Is it true that in India men kill their wives and get by with it without punishment?

Murali, It is obvious that you are speaking without knowledge of the state of Texas. Texas does not hang anyone but, I imagine you were just using an archaic term to attempt to inject some sort of sick humor. Lethal injection has been judged to be the most humane way to administer the death penalty, if there is a humane way. The point here, is that that criminal did nothing humane as he murdered his victim, or victims. Prior to the acceptability of DNA evidence, juries were very careful to consider the evidence, and there is not record of the death penalty being used if there was any reasonable doubt that the accused was guilty. There is no record of an innocent person being executed in Texas. There has been a lot of flap from self-interest groups that such was done, but those instances, such as the Gary Graham affair, were nothing more than political footballs.

The death penalty is administered ONLY in EXTREME cases, so your argument has no meat to it. ~H~
