Yes, I agree: not only the when of our life , but the where. How fortunate not to have been born in all the trouble spots of the world.

The music of chance has too often been the tritone (diabolus in musica), with a persistent augmented fouth, but nobody likes bad news so on with the dance!

Yes. That is a good book. I like the Buddhist philosophy. It seems to be an entirely reasonable metaphysics. How can you argue with a religion that says "Any truths discovered lead to the One Truth"? Quite a departure from "This is the Truth and any truth discovered must agree with it".
