Chic, I think the cat is out of the bag. I think the crooks are not hiding their intents anylonger because you know crooks figure their buddies will screw them and beat them to the exit. :-))

Chic, Re: I'd kind of like to see sub $20's before this week is over. Then I can load up.

Would you load up before earnings if AMD went below $20? Probably the stock couldn't go much lower even if they missed some forecasts (e.g. K7s sold) but then again you can't explain the stock action in the last few weeks on a rational basis. The stock was at $20 (split-adjusted) right before Q1 earnings and then there was only the expectation of only a few cents profits.

I've been sitting with a lot of cash on hand for a few weeks now.

That sounds familiar... I'm currently only 20% invested (bought some AMD on Friday and Monday) and still concerned on the general market environment. Many stocks charts look "broke" and the old "bellweathers" like Cisco, Microsoft and Intel are all trading below their 200 DMA. I wonder where we'll go from here.

Concerning the AMD stock action today: There are many big blocks today and volume is again very large. There seems to be some heavy resistance in the $25 area, where the stock is tight up for now. (just saw a 100,000 block on the ask) Probably some "sympathy selling" with Intel (which is at $44 right now).
